Colombo, Sri Lanka – September 2026: Cambridge University Press & Assessment has strengthened its presence in Sri Lanka with a new office at the World Trade Center, Colombo, and a directly employed local team through Cambridge University Press & Assessment Lanka (Pvt) Ltd from 1 August 2026.
The development reflects Cambridge’s continued commitment to Sri Lanka and its investment in local capability, bringing its teams closer to the schools, educators, institutions, partners and communities they support across the country.
From its new Colombo base, the Sri Lanka team supports the full breadth of Cambridge University Press & Assessment’s work in the country. This includes Cambridge International Education, Cambridge English, publishing and learning resources, alongside sales, marketing, customer support and operations. The team also works with government and institutional partners to support priorities across Sri Lanka’s education sector.

The past year for Cambridge in Sri Lanka has been immensely successful with the highest volumes in resource sales, ten new schools joining the Sri Lankan Cambridge schools community and with nearly 50,000 Cambridge English examinations (including Young Learners English (YLE)) delivered across the Island.
The new Colombo office will serve as the base for Cambridge University Press & Assessment’s Sri Lanka team as it continues to develop its work across international education, English, publishing and partnerships with institutions and government.
